About 10 minutes' drive from the village of Competa, we find this extremely charming, recently, and very qualitatively renovated cortijo.
Arriving through the gate, we find ample space to park a few cars.
A staircase along the pool structure leads us to a gable-width terrace on the south flank of the property.
A small, covered terrace on the east side of the house seems to us the ideal place to enjoy your coffee as the first sun rises.
The front terrace is spacious and has enough room to spend the whole day there around the large 10 x 4m pool.
We enter the house in an open plan dining room with kitchen. Immediately we notice that everything in the house has been renovated with an eye for detail like the choice of floor tiles, fitted kitchen, lighting and decoration.
To the left on entering is access to the master bedroom. An attractive room with its own exit to the terrace. Next to it is the spacious bathroom with modern bath, walk-in shower and double washbasin. Again, everything has been tastefully decorated.
On the other side of the dining area are a second bedroom and a cosy lounge. The living room has a large window that gives you the feeling of living outdoors inside.
The large authentic wood fireplace will certainly provide enough atmosphere in the winter months. All rooms have high beamed ceilings, and you will recognise typical Andalusian elements. So, you have the locally baked earth floor tiles, shutters at the windows and the wooden beams at the ceiling.
All living areas have gas-fired underfloor heating. All rooms are also air-conditioned. A solar water heater supplies the house with hot water.
Outside, under the large terrace next to the pool, we find a third bedroom which, with some minor adjustments, could be fitted with a private bathroom.
Around the house, the entire garden has been carefully laid out with local flora and fruit trees.
